Zachary Owen is a fresh face in the acting world coming from a striking career as an opera singer. Among his notices he has been described as having “deftly created complete portraits of sound and movement” (Gay City News). Mr Owen received much of his acting training while he attended CCM at the University of Cincinnati. This is complemented by the experiences he has gained from performing in over 50 professional productions of opera and musical theater in a variety of venues all over the United States. His more recent credits include the role of Christopher Isherwood in Porchlight Theater’s production of the play “I Am A Camera,” the role of Lt Schrank in Teatro Lirico di Cagliari’s “West Side Story” as well as leading roles in several films including Thomas in the short film “Lavender.” He was born and raised in the Chicago area.
